Description The work consists in testing the performance of the latest reference software of HEVC Test Model, which is currently being developed and it is expected to become the new H.265 video codec. The aim is to compare the performance that can be currently obtained by using the various tools included in the HEVC with the ones provided by the H.264 video codec.
Required skills # Good ability in programming, C and C++ language
# Knowledge of the architecture of the main video coding standards. Good results in attending the course “Processing and Transmission of Multimedia Signals” (ETIM) is a plus.
