Descrizione The purpose of this thesis is to design, develop and validate a IDE visual modeller for DOG controlled environments. The modeler shall offer basic CAD modeling features and shall provide proper device libraries for modeling the IDE components. Every library component is composed by at least 3 complementary information: a visual representative, which is manipulated in the modeller, a DogOnt semantic description and a State Chart model. IDE modeling is accomplished by dragging and dropping library elements into the working space and by connecting devices through interaction links. The designed environment must be organized with an extensible plug-in architecture allowing to integrate new functionalities, e.g., inference or simulation. The outcome of the thesis will be validated by means of a suitable user study and, if satisfying, will be made available as an Open Source project.
