Description Goals:
The thesis aims at designing and developing the visualization layer of a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to be used for the rescue of lost people in critical environments.
The candidate will perform the integration between the 3D reconstruction of the surrounding environment and the data acquired through cameras and infrared sensors.
The system will be tested as a realtime augmented reality system by operators of the Italian Civil Protection corps in mountainous regions.

Required skills Programming Languages: C++, Java

Notes The thesis will be developed in cooperation with NoReal.it (Torino) and with the Italian Civil Protection corps.
