This thesis consists in the development and evaluation of microprocessor based system including an ARM cpu. Such a system will be connected to an automotive control unit with the objective of verifying its functionalities are conform to a quality standard. This activity is done within the Dipartimento di Automatica e Informatica and in collaboration with the ED European Mechanical Engineering Design srl, whose site is in Grugliasco (TO).
In the details, the activity will include a planning phase followed by the implementation and verification of a C/asm program on sw emulators of the final system. To conclude, the program will have to be run on a LPC1768 based on a ARM Cortex-M3 core, which is part of an advanced industrial system of ED Design for automotive electronic control units.
Thesis activities will be done at the Politecnico, in a research lab, and at the ED Design site in Grugliasco. The student will receive a salary of 350€ per month and hiring is highly expected at the thesis conclusion.
Required skills Good knowledge of microprocessor based systems, C/C++ and ASM languages.
Notes The student will receive a salary of 350€ per month and hiring is highly expected at the thesis conclusion.
