Description In the context of the research activities of the Internet Media Group concerning processing and transmission of multimedia signals, we are looking for a master thesis student to develop an 802.11-based low-delay video communication application. The activity includes development on a 3D capture device (e.g., an Android smartphone with 3D capabilities – available in the lab) and on a Linux PC equipped with 3D technology for the receiver part. The activity can start from a software prototype already developed by the research group.

Required skills Good knowledge of programming techniques
Knowledge of C and Java language
Knowledge of the basic fundamentals of image and video coding
[Optional] Some experience with Android development is preferred
