Description Three-dimensional (3D) video involves stereoscopic or multi-view images to provide depth experience through 3D display systems. Moreover 2D views contain several features that can be used as efficient descriptors for a broad range of applications. The aim of this thesis is to exploit compact descriptors of images to detect and track objects of interest in the pictures, and enable application scenarios ranging from augmented reality to efficient 3D compression.
Required skills Good programming skills, basic understanding of 3d video principles, good attitude at group working and experimentation.
