Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description A rebreather for scuba diving is a closed circuit breathing system comprising oxygen and solvent gas in separate tanks and an electronic control system monitoring and optimizing in real time the oxygen partial pressure. Hopefully also the percentage of carbon dioxide should be monitored, but is not implemented in commercially available equipment. Goal of the thesis is the hardware and software development of a new very reliable system using novel oxygen sensors and possibly monitoring carbon dioxide.
Required skills Embedded electronic systems, sensors, actuators. C language programming. Optionally, PCB design experience.
Notes Scuba diving experience is preferred.
