Description Electric and/or hybrid powertrain are the best candidate to equipe future light vehicles, i.e. vehicles with limited weight (<500 kg), maximum speed (<100 km/h), and daily range (<100 km), to be used in highly populated metropolitan areas.
A target of 40 Wh/km has been set by the European Community to be possibly achieved for next generation light vehicle to reduce drastically well-to-wheel greenhouse effects and toxic emissions.
Based on the experience of Shell Ecomarathon, a light urban vehicle has been developed by the H2politO team to implement and test technologies and solutions to achieve the aformentioned goal.
