Description The present work will be developed in co-operation between Politecnico di Torino and Avio Group.
The goal is to obtain an optimized fillet and flank geometry of a gear in order to reduce the maximum stress value and to smooth stress distribution in the gear root fillet. In order to do that, a tailored optimization algorithm should be used and geometric parameters should be identified.
