Description The goal of the thesis is to forecast the path a gear root crack makes after its overture, in order to understand the failure mode of the gear. The goal is also to compute the number of cycles a cracked gear undergoes before its final failure.
The present work will be developed in co-operation between Politecnico di Torino and Avio Group.
The present topic may be the object of one or more thesis.
