Description In the context of Smart City, the proposed thesis aims to design and develop an innovative control system for an intelligent management of the heating system in buildings served by the district heating network managed by Iren group. The planned activities will focus on the analysis of real-time data from sensors deployed in the buildings in order to develop "user-centred" control strategies to optimize the heating system energy consumption without affecting the users’ comfort. The control system has to interact with the heating distribution network. The thesis is part of the DIMMER European project (http://dimmer.polito.it).
Thesis to be carried on in collaboration with the company Iren.
