Descrizione The research focuses on techniques to make the networks energy efficient with the twofold objective to make them sustainable and to reduce operational costs.
Some thesis are available on different topics that include:
- Wireless access networks (both cellular and WiFi): Analysis, simulation and design of algorithms based on switching on and off the networking devices so as to make resource available based on the actual demand possible
- WiFi networks: Experiments on an already running testbed in which access points are remotely controlled and switched on and off based on traffic demand.
