Thesis type SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND SIMULATION
Description OFDMA radio access has been widely adopted as radio access interface of different wireless systems. In particular this interface has been adopted by the 3GPP LTE/LTE-Advanced system and its evolutions. Nevertheless in the research arena several radio interfaces have been proposed for wireless system beyond 4G. In particular, among the others, the following techniques are currently studied: Faster Than Nyquist (FTN), Filter Bank Multi Carrier (FBMC), Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM). All these techniques are introduced as different modifications of the OFDMA radio access technique to satisfy different requirements (greater spectral efficiency and/or better out of band emissions).
In a first phase the goal of the thesis is the analysis and comparison of the different radio interface proposals. Based on this first analysis one of the radio interface techniques will be selected and further analyzed in terms of performance and compared with the OFDM radio interface.
