Description Modern life exposes us all to an ever increasing number of potential sources of electromagnetic fields and patients with implanted pacemakers or defibrillators often ask about the possible adverse interaction of electromagnetic radiation with implanted pacing systems.
Although no special precautions are required for pacemaker and defibrillators holders in the use of microwaves or other common household equipment (for example, televisions, radios, toasters, electric blankets, etc.), there are special situations or work conditions that are not advisable or even prohibited.
This thesis is intended to study the feasibility of a device aimed at protecting a patient exposed to electromagnetic fields, for work condition or particular life events (like medical examinations, walking through metal detectors, etc.).
