Description Recommender Systems are software tools and techniques providing suggestions for items to a user. The suggestions provided are aimed at supporting the users in various decision-making processes, such as what items to buy, what music to listen, or what news to read. Linked Data is a set of best practices to publish structured data on the web. Online data following this practices can be exploited to provide recommendations, generating a Linked Data driven recommender system. The goal of the thesis is developing a Web service for such a recommender system. It is necessary to extend a REST interface and take into account the needs of both system administrators and users. The steps consist in the design and implementation of the web service and the client user interface.
