Description Wave energy converters modeling covers several areas, ranging from hydrodynamic to mechanical modeling. In order to have an effective tool for study and design a wave energy converter, a fast and relyable hydrodynamic model is needed. Such model can be used in the study of a wave energy converter to design and optimize the system. The student will study the existing hydrodynamic model and will introduce correction terms to consider non linear effects. Experimental results will be used to calibrate and validate the numerical model.
