Description Alumni association are play a more and more substantial role in supporting university Technology Transfer offices as institutional entrepreneurs involved in building legitimacy for novel technologies. The objective of the thesis is to illustrate this role, by carrying out an in-depth analyis existing initiatives (in top universitites) able to provide evidence about three sub-roles: that of protector, propagator and influencer of the nascent technologies.
