Description The logistical needs of the Turinese university poles - both in terms of provision of serivizi of teaching and research that the receptivity of the student population - became in the recent past some significant urban regeneration opportunities, consolidating the role of the city of Turin as one of the most important hub university of attraction throughout the national territory, as well as significance internationally.
Now new scenarios bring back to the fore the issue, interweaving with the strategic urban planning of local authorities.
Starting from the recent call for the Po Axis (in order to consolidate the urban section of the river Po as the seat of the Architecture Area of the Turin Polytechnic) and moving from investigating scenarios and consequences the requirements with regard to higher education on the built urban landscape quality, thesis will explaining the transformative tensions linked to all university urban centers and developing design scenarios that may include built volumes but that put in evidence also the urban open spaces as places for the quality of 'dwell students / residents.

Required skills Excellent skills in environmental sustainable urban design

Notes It is possible to develop parts of the thesis with professors from other teaching and research centers in the international context.
