Description Traditional Radio Stations need to offer their audio streams also to Internet users, but beside well know services like Shoutcast, new technologies are gaining attention such as Apple HTTP Live Streaming and MPEG Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP.
In this thesis the student will design, implement and customise a streaming architecture for Internet Radio Broadcasting starting from open source (e.g. ffmpeg, gstreamer, nginx) and/or commercial tools (e.g. wowza).
In addition new services will be introduced to manage some particular requirements of radio broadcasters (and users), such as podcast management, show recording, DVR functionalities, etc.
