Thesis type APPLIED RESEARCH, EXPERIMENTAL

Description "The proposal goal is to create, using languages and tools to be defined, the Simulation Framework architecture. The Simulation Framework is a software infrastructure internally developed by Leonardo which operates like an "operating system" for flight simulators targeted at pilots and aircrew training. Such architecture will become part of the document set required to obtain the formal qualification of the Simulation Framework as a Leonardo product. The project shall start from the analysis of the already existing software and will require the candidate to implement the architecture and analyze the requirements, both functional and non-functional. Specific software code development can be envisioned according to what will be discovered during the preliminary analysis phase. The candidate can work at the Leonardo plant in Torino and will have the opportunity to study the hardware and software architectures of the flight simulators developed either at this plant or at other Leonardo plants. The candidate shall not work continuatively at the Leonardo plant, but his/her presence will be required at least for the initial analysis phase. "
