Description It is proposed an experimental and applied thesis aimed to the synthesis and functional characterization of new chemical absorbents that are sustainable, non corrosive and low cost, for the capture of the CO2. Such sorbents are based on reticulate polymers (dendrimers) or euthectic systems.
Experimental activities will be based on the organic synthesis of the absorbents, their chemico-physical characterization, and the measurement of their CO2 uptake capacity.
This thesis will be developed in collaboration with the CSF@POLITO center of the Italian Institute of Technology at Turin.
Duration of the thesis work >= 6 months.
Required skills Theoretical basis of absorption, catalysis, ability to team work, pro-activity, ability to organize/palnify the work and to respect deadlines.
Deadline 13/01/2018
