Description The technical and economic viability of Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) strongly depends on the thermal properties of the ground. Maps of the Near-Surface Geothermal Potential are therefore a powerful tool for planning future GSHP installations. The MS candidate will collect and process geological, hydrogeological and climatic data to assess the suitability of different sites to the installation of Ground Source Heat Pumps. This work will be carried out in the framework of the project GRETA (near-surface Geothermal REsources in the Territory of the Alpine space), funded by the EU program Alpine Space.
