Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL THESIS

Description The Master Thesis candidate will stimulate ZnO nanocrystals with ultrasound irradiation through different experimental set-up and working parameters. He/she will evaluate the generation of Reactive Oxygen Specie (ROS) through the technique of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, the use of Sonochemiluminescence techniques and eventually with mathematical modelling, He/she will be assisted and supported by two PhD students experts in the field as well as as by the Thesis supervisor. The results will be then used for measuring cell viability/death in cell cultures, to which the candidate will take part. The Master Thesis will be at the laboratories of the DISAT (TNHLab) of the Politecnico di Torino.
