Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL
Description The thesis student will perform synthesis of catalysts based on Cu and ZnO nanostructures supported in conductive substrates. Subsequently, electrodes for the CO2 conversion to high-added value products (i.e. oxygenated hydrocarbns such as methanol or propanol) will be developed and tested.
Several characterization techniques to study the physico-chemical properties of the prepared materials will be used as well as analytical instruments for electrochemical tests and chemical characterizations of the reaction products.
The synthesis activities will be done at the TROJAN NANO HORSE LABORATORY (ERC) and the electrocatalitic tests will be done at the SOLAR FUELS LAB, both at DISAT department.
The monography of thesis have to be written in English.
Required skills English, Team work, proactivity, wilness to learn, experimental practice in chemical laboratories.
Deadline 20/12/2018
