Description A typical tool to build a human-machine interaction system with augmented reality is the helmet used by operators and pilots. Among the problems currently suffered there is the need for a fast self-adaptation to changed environmental conditions of helmet visor, against blunder. This thesis investigates, by modeling and testing, the application of smart materials to design a fast self-adaptive visor completely autonomous. Applications are automotive, aerospace and I dust rial engineering.
