Description The evaluation of the eigenfrequencies and modal shapes of a turbine blade is a fundamental step during the design phase. The possibility to have these preliminary results in the conceptual phase could be useful to select the best solution for the component, strongly reducing the development time of the project.
Reduced order model techniques will be applied to FE models of turbine blades in order to evaluate the modal response of the component, starting from preliminary geometries of the blade airfoils. In-house tools shall be used and implemented into the aero-loop of optimization to select the best solutions for the basic design phase of the component
