Descrizione Inkjet printing is an additive manufacturing technique that consists in the accurate deposition of liquid droplets onto a substrate. By printing nanoparticles-loaded fluids, it is possible to fabricate customized ceramic patterns with high resolution, reproducibility and automation. The formulation of finely dispersed nano-colloids for inkjet, i.e. nano-inks, paves the way for a further increase in the miniaturization capability of this technique. This thesis will be focused on controlling the rheology of different nano-dispersions (such as yttria stabilised zirconia, a ionic onductor in solid oxide cells) , in order to obtain advanced functional materials for energy conversion and storage devices.
The project will be developed at DTU ENERGY, Department of Energy Conversion and Storage, Denmark, under the co-supervision of Professor Vincenzo Esposito
