Description "Pick-to-light" systems help companies in picking up stock materials. To date, these systems allow to identify the location by means of a light placed in the correct pick up location. Once the product is collected, the worker pushes a button to confirm the end of the operation.
The aim of this thesis is to introduce a new pick-to-light design solution based on passive RFID technology, Bluetooth LED and augmented reality with android tablets and / or smart glasses. The thesis will describe the implementation of the new solution, and will compare it (in terms of quality and costs), with the current existing paperless picking systems.
An Android tablet and Optinvent ORA-2 smart glasses will be available for this thesis activity.
The thesis is a collaboration with Linear System SRL, and includes a €600 expense reimbursement per month (max 6 months)
Required skills Requisiti per il candidato:
- Sviluppo in Java
- Conoscenza del Sistema Operativo Android e familiarità con l'ambiente di sviluppo Android Studio
- Impegno full-time e disponibilità a lavorare sia al Politecnico, sia nella sede Linear System srl.
