Description In the context of an ongoing research project, we are looking for a master thesis student with strong interests in working on characterizing the performance of network devices to optimally support audio/video communication system over LAN. Part of the hardware/software infrastructure is already available as the result of previous research activities. The thesis work could also include an analysis of possible novel frameworks for resource brokering in multimedia systems (e.g., the Data Distribution Service, DDS).
