Description The thesis will be held within the framework of the European project BRISK II (https://www.brisk2.eu/). The aim of the work consists in the modeling of processes producing synthetic fuels/chemicals (e.g., methane, methanol, DME, syncrude, etc.) from thermochemical conversion (gasification) of biomass. The impact of several operating parameters (as the biomass type, the gasification agent) can be investigated, as well as the process configuration (e.g., gasifier type, integration with electrolysis). Each pathway can be analyzed from technical and economic standpoint. The work could be developed in collaboration with national and international partners.
