Suspended microfluidic resonators for biodetection
keywords MEMS, MICROFLUIDICS, NANOFLUIDICS
Reference persons CARLO RICCIARDI, STEFANO STASSI
Description The final objective of the thesis will be to exploit microfluidic resonant sensors to detect single biological entities (bacteria, fungi). Dielectrophoresis (DEP) will be developed to move the particles in the microchannel. The student will have to characterize the resonant devices (MEMS) from a mechanical and fluidic point of view to study the resolution and potentiality of the sensor.
