Description The work will be carried out partly at DISAT (Department of Applied Science and Technology of the Politecnico di Torino) and partly at INRIM (National Institute of Metrological Research). In DISAT laboratories will be prepared epoxy matrix composite samples with cellulose microfibrils and metal nanoparticles supplied by INRIM, cross-linking by thermal or photochemical means will be performed, the mechanical and thermal properties of the products will be characterized.
In INRIM laboratories we will proceed with the measurements of the antioxidant and antibacterial properties of the materials using optical techniques such as NIR, Raman, UV-Vis spectroscopy.
