Description The thesis concerns the application of the Caleffi Hydronic Design (CHD) software to the sizing of water heating systems. Two cases of increasing complexity will be considered:
1) Simple system based on a real case
- Sizing of the system and of the water distribution
- Cost/benefit analysis of different sizing strategies
- Balancing: comparison of different methodologies
- Analysis of performance / energy costs of different solutions by simulation
2) Complex system based on a real case
- Use of satellites
- Sizing techniques of systems with satellites: comparison of different methodologies
- Cost/benefit Analysis on the se of different types of satellites
Required skills Basic concepts of Thermal-fluid dynamics
