Description [11:52] Lerede Daniele
Despite their large role energy demand at the global level, minor industrial sectors are almost never reported in detail in macro-scale models, usually characterized by a high level of disaggregation in the description of energy-intensive technologies. Indeed, their role in the energy system is just described through generic trends for energy demand, that does not allow a precise analysis of their role in the clean energy transition. The same is true for the agriculture sector. The aim of this thesis is to develop a detailed scheme of the current final energy demand breakdown in such production sectors at the Italian level, with consequent implementation and testing of the new module in TIMES-Italy and TEMOA-Italy.
Required skills Attendance of the course "Models and scenarios for energy planning".
