Thesis type EXPERIMENTAL, MODELING AND EXPERIMENTAL
Description The thesis student will optimize the electrochemical CO2 conversion process through experimental activities in an electrochemical test bench just purchased as part of the INFRA-P CO2 Circle Lab project. This system is equipped with flow, pressure and temperature controllers and a semi-automatic control system. The aim of the thesis is the optimization and development of testing protocols in the new electrochemical system and the study of different process operating conditions (temperature, pressure, pH, reagent flow rates, etc.) through theoretical calculations and experimental tests. To carry out the electrochemical tests, a spray-coating system will be used to deposit catalysts on conductive substrates in order to produce reproducible and scalable electrodes, so that their future industrial application is possible. The reaction products will be analyzed through analytical techniques such as chromatography and mass spectrometry.
The experimental activities will take place at the SOLAR FUELS LAB, at DISAT.
The thesis has to be written in English.
