Description The thesis will focus on the optimization of the process parameters for the Direct Energy Deposition (DED) metal additive manufacturing technology using an innovative scanning strategy. The thesis will be carried out in collaboration between the Politecnico di Torino and Prima Industrie S.p.A. The data collection, their analysis and the consequent optimization of the process parameters will be carried out mainly by means of metallographic analysis of samples created with the 3D printer in order to be able to carry out a complete characterization of the samples obtained.
