Description The aim of the thesis is the construction and simulation of energy transition scenarios on a local scale. Through the OSeMOSYS open-source tool, it will be possible to simulate different scenarios of penetration of renewable energy technologies in a territorial energy system.
The planned activities are:
1) definition and composition of decarbonisation scenarios;
2) definition of the reference energy system;
3) definition / upgrade of the existing technology portfolio (technology performance and costs);
4) scenario simulation.
The part of the innovation envisaged is on the insertion of electricity storage systems in the simulation code and studying their expected diffusion to complement intermittent renewable sources.
