Tipo tesi SPERIMENTALE

Descrizione One of the main objectives of the Energy Center LAB initiative consists on designing a Multi-Energy-System (MES) Co-Simulation Platform able to qualitatively and quantitatively solve energetic transition scenarios [1].
Energy Communities will be at the center of the energy transition thanks to the new opportunities that offer for citizens as becoming more aware of energy choices, but also benefits for the entire system improving efficiency and reducing curtailment and grid losses. Energy communities could become key actors of demand response flexibility, especially when equipped with storage systems. The thesis aims on modeling of control and optimization strategies for peak shaving on a realistic distribution network in both physical (grid network) and virtual layers (information system), considering the deployment of multi-energy communities with the possibility of centralized control of energy storages. Multi-agent and co-simulation frameworks should be adopted to simulate the system and its actors evaluating KPI on the strategies adopted.
