Description SEcube™ is a chip developed by Blu5® as an Open Security Platform. The chip is a 3D SiP (System-in-Package) containing a STMicroelectronics processor, an FPGA, and a Smart Card (www.secube.eu).
SElink is a software application that uses the SEcube™ open security platform (www.secube.eu) to secure network traffic. It can encrypt network streams generated by any application, regardless the application-level protocol. Thanks to a new API interface independent from the communication protocol adopted, SElink could be used not only for communications between PC and server, but also in the embedded and IoT field and create end-to-end encrypted channels on protocols such as MODBUS or MQTT.
The purpose of this thesis is to study and implement a real-use application that uses SElink™ in the IoT field, in order to guarantee predefined levels of security in, for example, a network of smart objects deployed in a smart-city environment.
