Description Preparation of porous cement-based materials for energy applications. Porous cement is a very interesting material for thermal storage through the use of hydrated salts. This thesis is part of an ongoing research on these materials, and consists in the optimization of the composition and of the preparation procedure of porous cement containing hydrated salts. The study aims at finding the best thermal performance but also at understanding the chemical mechanisms at the basis of the process, in order to make effective forecasts on the material durability
