Thesis type SIMULATION
Description It will be necessary to carry out a series of numerical simulations of a high-pressure stage of a gas turbine subjet to different inlet conditions, aimed at obtaining an accurate prediction of the stage performance and of the thermal field. The computational domain includes the stator, the rotor, the stator/rotor cavity and the cooling system inside the rotor. The simulations will be able to carry out the interaction between stator and rotor both in stationary and non-stationary fashion, considering boundary conditions deriving from reactive simulations of the combustor at various concentrations of NG/H2 mixture. You will also need to prepare the CAD model, generate the mesh, perform the grid dependency analysis and fine-tune the turbulence/transition model.
