Description The adoption of Virtual Function Virtualization (VNF) in 5G networks enables an unprecedented level of flexibility in providing new network services, but this comes at the cost of orchestrating carefully the required resources (cpu, memory, storage, network).
The aim of the thesis is to devise new algorithms to optimize the migration of network functions to enable the users' mobility in a 5G network. The work will consider specifically the state-of-the-art scenario in which Docker containers implement the network function.
