Thesis type MASTER THESIS
Description The aim of the thesis is to characterize innovative polymeric coatings for metals protection against corrosion. The student will perform the physical-chemical characterization of the material, starting from polymerization kinetics to the material final properties (thermal and mechanical properties, scratch resistance, contact angle etc). Moreover, he/she will study the possible application of these coatings, possibly with the addition of a nano-filler, in the field of corrosion protection. Thus electrochemical techniques will be used (electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization) as well as electron microscopy for morphological characterizations.
