Description Theoretical study of Global Alfven Eigenmodes in magnetically confined fusion plasmas according to the tokamak scheme. Comparison between the erlevant damping mechanisms of GAE modes and of axisymmetric modes that are resonant on magnetic X-points. Tutoring by Tommaso Barberis, PhD student in Physics at the Polytechnic University of Turin, will be available.
