Description This thesis proposal refers to the study of the resilience of the existing transportation infrastructure. In particular, an existing highway bridge will be analyzed performing a seismic vulnerability assessment, with particular reference to the problem of quantifying the "down-time" after a disaster event and the resilience of the transport infrastructure.
The study will be developed at the numerical-experimental level considering the available structural data (e.g. monitoring).
Required skills Structural engineering skills, programming and computational codes (e.g. finite element codes).
