Description The thesis will deal with analyzing possible alternatives for river restoration in the case of alpine streams in the province of Turin and Cuneo, in order to model future conditions of aquatic and terrestrial habitat for biota. The student will become familiar with GIS tools, two-dimensional hydrodynamic simulation models and tools for the treatment of remote sensing data. Field activities will also be scheduled using echo-doppler instruments mounted on a vessel. The thesis presents theoretical, numerical and experimental aspects.
