Description The NASA GPM IMERG product provides precipitation products at unprecedented spatial (0.1degree) and temporal (30 min) resolutions from 1998 onwards.
The thesis will validate the IMERG product over the Piedmont region based on a dense netweork of ground-based disdrometers. Specific aspects like the effect of orography, the diurnal and seasonal cycle will be analysed in depth.
