Description The proposal concerns the development of a recent research concerning an innovative indicator (W), which quantitatively expresses the concordance of incomplete object rankings, formulated by a plurality of agents. This research is detailed in the scientific article available at the link below: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00163-020-00340-x.
The conclusions of the article report the limitations of the previous research, which represent the starting point of the future thesis. Precisely, one of the key passages is the following:
[...] "Is this result acceptable/reasonable? The authors believe that this concern can be overcome by associating W with an uncertainty indicator-currently under development-which takes into account the width/dispersion of rank intervals before being synthesized into midranks".
The activity of the thesis will concern the definition, the study and the experimentation of the (new) uncertainty indicator, to be associated with the indicator W. The study will have to be carried out with a certain autonomy and scientific rigour.
