Description Pupil autonomic control does not seem to be affected in ALS, thus offering interesting possibilities for easy and non-invasive detection of voluntarily-controlled parasympathetic and sympathetic activation. A patent on a brain-computer-interface controlled by pupil accomodation response (PAR) have been proposed, to support ALS patients. A longitudinal study have investigated PAR in ALS patients. In this thesis, the student will contribute in this research field by processing data and interpreting the results, providing important information on the actual reliability of our system.
Required skills Matlab programming. Signal processing.
