Description Packaging management in SMEs is usually done manually and it is usually controlled with direct inspections. The quantity and quality of information that can be obtained is very limited and involves significant losses due to the growth in the number and types of packaging, frequent stock shortages and emergency management of critical issues.
The improvement of the packaging management process, through its integration with the company ERP system, will monitor the actual number of packaging present in the company and / or at the customers, optimizing its availability in the various warehouses,
The thesis activity involves the creation of a model that, through the company ERP tools (Microsoft Navision 2016), allows to avoid stock outages and optimally manages the various packaging present in the company:
1) Packaging owned by customers managed in company warehouses located at suppliers and customers
2) Packaging owned by the company managed by our company warehouses located at suppliers and customers
3) Packaging purchased and managed in company warehouses located at suppliers and sold to customers
4) Alternative packaging consisting of several components
5) Packaging that varies within a production cycle
